January 24, Clash of the Titans: Mark Twain and Theodore Roosevelt

This month, we welcome Thomas J. Reigstad, emeritus professor of English at SUNY Buffalo State and the author of Scribblin' for a Livin': Mark Twain's Pivotal Period in Buffalo. Professor Reigstad will speak about the contentious relationship that America's legendary humorist had with its President in the early 1900's. In fact, in 1906, Twain wrote that TR was "far and away the worst president we have ever had." Learn more about the dynamics of the relationship between these two immensely popular men.
